Clients:  Fuel Assistance participants.
Services:  The Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), also known as Fuel Assistance, provides direct payments to fuel vendors on behalf of income eligible households for electricity, oil, kerosene, LP gas, coal, wood and wood pellets. Renters may apply for LIHEAP even if their heat is included in their rent. Households may choose their dealer. Applications are accepted August 1 though April 30 each year.

If the household is eligible for LIHEAP, they will also be eligible for Emergency Fuel Assistance (ECIP), Weatherization,Central Heating Improvement Program (CHIP), Telephone Lifeline Program (TLP), and possibly the CMP Electric Lifeline Program (ELP) as well.

Emergency Fuel Assistance
Energy Crises Intervention Program (ECIP) provides emergency financial assistance for income eligible households for an emergency fuel delivery, an electric disconnect or minor emergency heating system repair. Assistance is available between November and March 31st each year.
