Maine Suicide and Crisis Hotline: For people who are in desperate need of someone to talk to do to the thought of suicide or any other crisis that they may be experiencing. Phone: 1-888-568-1112 Maine Warm Line: Telephone support services for non-crisis situations, including, but not limited to: Support, social connection, sharing personal victories, overcoming fear, grief or sadness, developing effective strategies for the future, assistance with referrals to community resources, talking to someone when feeling sad, lonely, discouraged. Phone: 1-866-771-9276 Evergreen Behavioral Services: Evergreen Behavioral Services was formed to address a community-identified need for expanded mental health service in Franklin County and the surrounding areas. Evergreen Behavioral is a collaborative of the Franklin Community Health Network and the Sisters of Charity Health System (the parent corporation of St. Mary’s Regional Health center in Lewiston). Evergreen Behavioral Services offers Outpatient Services, Substance Abuse Services, Employee Assistance Program, and school-based counseling, alternative school and eating disorders program. Evergreen has a full-time staff psychiatrist who is qualified in both adult and child psychiatry, and a staff of fully licensed counselors, including a number who are certified to treat people that are diagnosed with both mental health issues and have substance abuse problems. Substance Abuse Services: Evergreen Behavioral provides substance abuse services that address the physical, emotional, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of the illness. The goals of the patients are to understand addiction, to stay off the substance that they are abusing, and to improve emotional and physical health. Evergreen will help people try to meet their goals, and to get back into the community. Assistance Plus: Assistance Plus provides support services in Greater Franklin County for adults and children coping with serious and persistent mental illness, behavioral disorders, mental retardation/developmental delays or autism. Assistance Plus will help assist children and adults along with their families to create a care plan that is right for the individual, and assist children, adults and families in developing resources to improve life and increase independence. Day Habilitation Services are available to children and adults who need help with daily living skill needs, individuals with metal retardation, and individuals with autism. Behavioral Health Services: Behavioral Health Services provides one-on-one support services to children with mental retardation and or a mental health diagnosis. Daily supports are developed in a care plan by the child’s parent(s) and clinician. The Behavioral Specialist and parent(s) then carry out the care plan. In addition to providing a care plan, the clinician will visit the home on a scheduled basis to make sure that the quality of service and good communication is being met on the care plan. Case Management Services: Case Management Services is for children with autism, mental retardation, mental illness or developmental delays. Case Management Services provides a plan of care, monitoring, evaluations, intakes and assessments and coordination and advocacy for the child. Care & Comfort: Care & Comfort provides quality home and behavioral health care, delivered by skilled, compassionate professionals, and meets and exceeds nationally recognized standards of care while serving as a health care resource for the community. Phone: 1-866-397-3350 Programs: Mental Health Services: A wide variety of mental health services are available to individuals and families who have had a primary mental health diagnosis (such as ADHD, depression, oppositional deficit disorder, etc). Services focus on behavior management including coping skills, problem solving and interpersonal relationship skills. Home Health Services: Care & Comfort’s goal for home health services is to help clients maintain their independence. Care & Comfort provides medically trained professionals to assist individuals with daily living skills and personal care so they can stay in their homes. Home Health Services are provided in home to assist clients with activities of daily living and nursing services. Activities of daily living include tasks such as assistance with personal hygiene, meal preparation, ambulation, and light housekeeping. Nursing services include all responsibilities for maintaining a safe and therapeutic in home environment. Tri-County Mental Health Services: Care is provided to children, adults, and elderly individuals from all ethnic, religious and socio-economic backgrounds. The severity of the problems people bring to the agency varies widely, from mild depression or anxiety to chronic mental illness, addiction, and profound developmental disabilities. Tri-County Mental Health will maximize service accessibility, availability and efficiency through partnership with consumers, families, communities, health and human service providers and payees.
