| Services: | The purpose of this organization is to provide activities of interest to student writers at UMF. It will sponsor the appearances of visiting writers on campus. The Visiting Writers Series will consist of distinguished, published authors, at least one in each of the three genres (poetry, fiction, non-fiction) per semester. These writers will be paid a stipend from the Student Activity Fee fund as necessary. It will serve as link between visiting writers and UMF students, particularly Bachelor of Fine Arts in creative writing majors. It will publish the Sandy River Review twice per year: once in the fall semester, and once in the spring semester, as outlined in Articles IX and X. It will provide a forum for student writers to read their works at meetings and through other methods. |
