Services:  CEC is a group of students (anyone really), but for the most part those involved in Special Education.

As a group, CEC gets together to help out in the local schools, participate in projects with special needs students and help out with Special Olympics.

Being part of CEC, which is a national organization, not only gives valuable experience for future teachers, but also gives the experience of having helped out those with special needs in the fun environment.

The purpose of the student CEC, as defined in the national constitution is to promote professional standards of a higher order and improve the preparation of all professionals dealing with exceptional children and youth. It is the purpose of this organization to promote programs specifically designed to enhance the professional development of its members in serving exceptional children and youth and provide information to inform the public of the needs of exceptional persons at the local, state, provincial, regional, and international levels. The purpose of this organization is to interest and involve all students concerned with the welfare of exceptional children and youth.
Tuesdays at 8:30 p.m. in Ricker 205
