The mission of SEARCH is to enable vulnerable seniors to remain independent and create a long-term support system to meet their needs.

Assistance with correspondence/forms

Help with errands/grocery shopping

Help with home projects and yard work

Referrals  to other services and programs

"Meals together"  socialization program


SEARCH is a program that:  Provides free support services by matching trained volunteers with seniors of all faiths living in Androscoggin, Kennebec, Sagadahoc, Lincoln, and Franklin Counties as well as Brunswick and Livermore Falls.  SEARCH provides rural outreach for seniors in many of the rural towns that we serve in each county  We also recruit volunteers from these rural towns to help support the seniors from their own communities.

Volunteer Opportunities

These services are provided by screened and trained volunteers, depending on their individual availability, contribute time and activity to seniors.  Our community volunteers come from all faiths, age groups and all walks of life.
