Services:  Some fifteen years ago, New Portland's first public library opened in an old school house in the North Village. Over time the building proved no longer suitable and, thanks to many grants, we have built a new library in the East Village, close by the Town Office and Fire Station. The new library has more space, a special children's corner, a board-room and computers (with high-speed internet access) available to the public. We have books (including large print, hardcover and paperbacks), magazines, audiobooks, movies, music, and more!

Volunteer Opportunities: Hours are maintained by adult town volunteers. No volunteers available, the library cannot be open. Please volunteer...it can be as little as 2 hours per month and training is provided. Please call Joan Moes @ 628-5451 to volunteer. Thank you for supporting your library!
Hours:  FOR THE SUMMER, We strive to be OPEN: Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays: 4:00pm to 6:00pm & Saturday: 10:00am to 12:00pm

Call or visit our website to verify hours which are subject to change.
