| Services: | Open year round, we invite you to stay in one of our clean, cozy rustic cabins located along the Carrabassett River. Rent one or rent entire facility for your retreat, reunion, wedding or get-away weekend. Each cabin has a refrigerator, stove, lines and dishes. The shower house is heated and there is a coin-operated laundry facility right on premise. Relax next to the cozy fire with your friends in our "Meeting Place," or wander down to the riverside and enjoy the fantastic view. With four seasons of outdoor activities, there's always something to do in Western Maine's Lakes & Mountains region. During the winter snowmobilers flock to our area as there are miles and miles of groomed trails that continue into Canada. We are 20 minutes from Sugarloaf Ski Resort and an hour from Saddleback Ski Area. Snowshoers have woods, mountains, and lakes to explore. Cross-country skiers can make use of the groomed snowmobile trails, or head to Sugarloaf's nordic ski area.
When the snow melts the kayaks, canoes, mountain bikes and ATVs come out. Wildflowers and wild berries line the trails. Trout streams and ponds are nearby for fishing. The Appalachian Trail can be accessed at several places near our cabins. We are surrounded by beautiful lakes. In the fall the entire Carrabassett Valley comes alive with color. Autumn is a great time for a hike in the Bigelow Preserve or picnic by a waterfall. We are close to three different hunting districts, and many acres of public access woods. Whatever season you decide to join us you are sure to experience the beauty of Western Maine. |
