Clients:  Children 4-10 years of age
Services:  The goal of this camp is to provide an opportunity for young children to learn about insects in a small backyard/workshop environment. It is Anne Mallett's hope to nourish each child’s natural love of nature by sharing the wonder of insects with them. Sessions include role playing, insect related books, bug hunts, observations, talks, experiments, nature art and games. Campers learn about the insect’s body parts, their interesting behaviors, nature concepts, and how to catch and keep these insects so that each camper may be inspired to study and observe them at home. Children are taught about the immense variety of insects and the beauty of these creatures, and to understand how important insects are in the “web of life” and therefore how important they are in our lives.

Hours:  Schedule: set up so that 4 to 8 year olds may be signed up for a 3 day session(s) per week and 5-10 year olds for a 2 day session(s), each week centered around an insect topic. I start camp with a Thurs/Fri. 4-9 Five to eight year olds may even sign up for a five day session, a combination of the two sessions/week. Sessions run from June through the 3rd week in August. Hours are from 9 to 12 noon.
