To Reach us by car:

Take I-95 (Maine Turnpike) to Auburn, Exit 75 (formerly Exit 12). Follow Route 4 North to Oquossoc. Continue on the same road to the end (or beginning as we refer to it!), left on Bald Mountain Road and we are 3/4 of a mile on the right.

or

From New Hampshire, follow Route 16 to Oquossoc, then turn right on Route 4 and proceed to the end. Turn left on Bald Mountain Road and we are 3/4 of a mile on the right.

or

Follow Route 17 from Rumford into Oquossoc. (This takes you past the very scenic "Height of Land"). Turn left on Rt. 4 and follow to the end. Turn left on Bald Mountain Road and we are 3/4 of a mile on the right.

Flying In?

The Stephen A. Bean Municipal Airport serves Rangeley, Oquossoc and Franklin County. The facility is located at 101 Kennebago Road at an elevation of 1,824 feet. Its paved runway extends for 3,200 feet. Aircraft charters and scenic aerial tours are available through Lake Region Air.

Clearwater Lake

 
Services:  Public beach with public boat access and paddleboat rental available. The water is clean and clear with a beautiful view, great waves and soft sand. The lake is also nice for fishing, boating, waterskiing, sailing and camping. In the winter, many ice shacks adorn the landscape of the lake and Clearwater is also the official lake for the Polar Bear Club's annual dip. Located on Route 43 to Allen’s Mills.

Services:  Located on the east side of five mile long Webb Lake, Dummer's Beach has one-half mile of natural sandy beach. The water deepens gradually for safe swimming. Other facilities include campground, playground, including basketball hoops, swing sets, slide, horseshoes, volley ball and 9-hole miniature golf course. 200 trailer and tent sites with picnic tables and fireplaces. Lakefront, shady or sunny (open) sites available. Electricity and water are available at most sites. Two service buildings provide metered hot showers, flush toilets, lavatories and electric outlets. Two dumping stations and a boat launching ramp may be used free of charge, by our campers. Canteen has bakery products, candy, ice cream, soda, etc. for sale.

There is good fishing in our lake where white perch, pickerel, bass and trout may be caught.

Dogs are welcome on a leash. They are not permitted in buildings, on the beach or in the lake. A long wooded dog walk is available.

Directions: Leave the Maine Turnpike at Auburn, Exit No. 75 (former Exit 12), take Route 4 to the town of Wilton. Left turn on Route 156. Left on Route 142 to Bypass Road to Fire Lane 9.

Services:  Private access to the largest fly fishing only water east of the Mississippi. Fish on the Upper Kennebago River, the Logan, the Lower Kennebago River, Kennebago Lake, and Flat Iron Pond. Fly fishing instruction available. Five miles of trails along the river for hiking and biking with other hikes such as West Mt. or the Loop around Flat Iron and John’s Pond. Help can be given to plan a one mile tour within the gate or up to a 62 mile route around the region. Canoe Wildlife Adventure Trips on the Upper Kennebago River entails canoeing the famous "Moose Run". Swimming, sailboating, windsurfing, canoeing and kayaking can be enjoyed with miles of water and no high-speed powerboats to contend with.

Directions: Interstate 95 to I-495. Take exit 75- Auburn, Maine. After tollgate, turn left onto Route 4 towards Auburn. Stay on Route 4 through Livermore Falls, Farmington, Strong and Rangeley. (approx. 88 miles). Continue through Rangeley onto 4 and 16 towards Oquossoc. At Jct. of 4 and 16 bear right on 16 about 3 miles to Cupsuptic Fire Warden Station. Look on right for Grant's sign and the road to the gate.

From the West:

Interstate 91 South or North to St. Johnsbury, VT. Take Route 2 east: at Jct. of 2 and 18 bear left on 2 to Lancaster, NH. At Jct. of 3 and 3, turn left onto Rte. 3 to Groveton, NH. (careful!) Stay on Rte. 110 to West Milan, NH. Slow down just over bridge and look for 110A on left. Take 110A to Rte. 16 to Errol, NH. Stay on 16 through Wilson's Mills, Maine, about 10 miles. Look for Cupsuptic Lake, then Cupsuptic Fire Warden Station on the right. On the left is Grant's sign and the road to the gate.

On your way to the Village of Eustis you will visit the Village of Stratton. Stay on Rt. 27 and soon you will see Pines Market on the right. It is the Sunoco Station.

From the Sunoco Station (on the right) in Eustis:

Travel another 3 miles north and you will come across a bridge with silver guard rails. Just as you cross the bridge take the next left.

Clients:  Maple Lane Inn and Golf course was originally a 1790 tavern and inn built to accommodate travelers along the stagecoach line from Farmington to Portland by way of the Strictland Ferry, which was powered by a pulley system. Relocated to River Road, nestled between farms and the Androscoggin River, it now serves as part of Maple Lane Inn & Golf Course.

Services:  9-hole golf course open year round, plays to a par 70 and is 6038 yards in length, with a slope of 118. Other activities include hunting (November), nearby fishing, snowmobile trail (runs adjacent to the Inn), cross-country skiing (all winter), ice skating on site (all winter).

Services:  Swimming, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, trout and land-locked salmon fishing. One of the more productive fishing grounds is just off the 3,000’ of lake frontage. The regular fishing season starts after ice-out (about mid-May) and ends September 30th. Swimming cove with sandy bottom and swim float, horseshoe pits and volleyball court, docks for your boat, canoe or kayak. Connector trail from the lake to ITS 84, so you can snowmobile from your cabin to enjoy nearly 150 miles of groomed trails, with connections to New Hampshire and Canada. Other winter activities include snowshoeing or cross country skiing via woodland paths.

I-95 North/Exit 75 (formerly Exit 12) (Auburn): Take Route 4 North to Farmington & Rangeley. In Sandy River Plantation, turn left on South Shore Drive (Rangeley Lake State Park Rd.) continue for 4 miles to our entrance sign on the right.

I-95/Exit 75 (formerly Exit 12) (Auburn): Take Route 4 North to Turner, turn left on Route 108 to Mexico. Take Scenic Route 17 north past Height of Land and Rangeley Overlook. About 2 miles beyond the Overlook, turn right on South Shore Drive. Our entrance sign is on the left just about a mile beyond the State Park.

From New Hampshire: Take Route 16 east to Route 4 in Oquossoc, turn right towards Oquossoc Village. In the Village, turn left on Route 17 south, continue to South Shore Drive on the left. Our entrance sign is on the left just about a mile beyond the State Park.

Other access is via Rt. 27 at the head of the lake if you are headed from New Vineyard toward Strong on Rt. 234 just after the access road to Bryan's Auto Body. Please be aware that there is a boat inspection program to prevent the spread of Milfoil.

Rent one or rent entire facility for your retreat, reunion, wedding or get-away weekend. Each cabin has a refrigerator, stove, lines and dishes. The shower house is heated and there is a coin-operated laundry facility right on premise. Relax next to the cozy fire with your friends in our "Meeting Place," or wander down to the riverside and enjoy the fantastic view. With four seasons of outdoor activities, there's always something to do in Western Maine's Lakes & Mountains region. During the winter snowmobilers flock to our area as there are miles and miles of groomed trails that continue into Canada. We are 20 minutes from Sugarloaf Ski Resort and an hour from Saddleback Ski Area. Snowshoers have woods, mountains, and lakes to explore. Cross-country skiers can make use of the groomed snowmobile trails, or head to Sugarloaf's nordic ski area.

When the snow melts the kayaks, canoes, mountain bikes and ATVs come out. Wildflowers and wild berries line the trails. Trout streams and ponds are nearby for fishing. The Appalachian Trail can be accessed at several places near our cabins. We are surrounded by beautiful lakes.

In the fall the entire Carrabassett Valley comes alive with color. Autumn is a great time for a hike in the Bigelow Preserve or picnic by a waterfall. We are close to three different hunting districts, and many acres of public access woods. Whatever season you decide to join us you are sure to experience the beauty of Western Maine.

Fees:  Please contact us for group rates. Pets are not allowed. Upon reservation we ask a deposit equal to half the cost of your stay. That deposit is non-refundable. However, if you have to cancel your visit you can use the deposit toward staying with us anytime within one calendar year.

Services:  This waterfall area, nestled at the junction of two streams, is located right along route 4 about halfway between Rangeley and Phillips, 12 miles south of Rangeley. It is well marked by the State of Maine and comes with a large parking lot, a picnic area with tables and grills, restroom facilities, and drinking water. Beautiful spot to hike, wade and fish, with a few spots deep enough for strong swimmers. There are also plenty of wading areas and short water slides.

Take exit 75 which is the Auburn Exit. When you get off the turnpike at exit 75 you go on to route 4 which you follow through main street Farmington and continue 2 1/2 miles north, when you turn on to Route 27 (The sign that says Kingfield, Sugarloaf etc) and you follow route 27 all the way to Eustis. Travel another 3 miles north and you will come across a bridge with silver guard rails. Just as you cross the bridge take the next left. Our sign will be at the entrance of the dirt road. Travel one mile up the hill and follow the signs to the camp. (There should be a sign saying "Tim Pond" at the 7 mile mark. Another sign at the top of the hill and then its only a mile in from the top of the hill)

Follow I-95 to Augusta. Take the second Augusta exit marked 112B Belgrade Lakes. Follow 27 through Farmington and all of the way to Eustis. This is slightly longer mileage wise but usually has less traffic. Follow directions above from Eustis.

Hunter Safety School---$295 per person, three days (Friday eve-Sun). Proper firearm handling, hunter responsibilities, Survival + first aid, map + compass, Land Owner relations. Includes American Plan.

Upland game bird---$110 per night per person. Includes three meals and lodging.

Deer hunting---$675 per hunter, Sunday to Sunday. Includes meals and lodging.

Moose hunting---$675 per hunter, Sunday to Sunday. Includes cabin and meals.
