| Services: | Friends Together provides a respectful and nurturing community where members are encouraged to participate in experiences which enhance innate abilities, promote recovery and instill self-worth. The Center offers socialization; provides educational tools such as computer lessons, nutrition and cooking, music therapy classes, instruction in craft-making and budget assistance. Excursions, picnics, swimming, cookouts, holiday dinners, gardening, bingo, pokeno, skip-bo and other activities as appropriate are also offered. |

| Services: | NAMI is dedicated to the eradication of mental illnesses and to the improvement of the quality of life of all whose lives are affected by mental illness.
NAMI is a nonprofit, grassroots, self-help, support and advocacy organization of consumers, families, and friends of people with severe mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic and other severe anxiety disorders, autism and pervasive developmental disorders, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, and other severe and persistent mental illnesses that affect the brain. |

| Clients: | STRIVE U provides post-secondary education and training to young adults with developmental disabilities in the realms of residential, employment, and community skills with the goal of enabling its graduates to live and work as full community members with maximum independence, productivity, and dignity.
STRIVE U is a comprehensive program aimed at teaching its students necessary skills to live independently in the community. STRIVE U is founded on four main program areas- Community Living-Living in an apartment with a roommate, Employment- learning valuable job skills through paid work experiences, Post-Secondary Education- Through a certificate program with USM, and finally Transition- assuring the transition from STRIVE U into the community is successful and meaningful. | Services: | The STRIVE Program of Supported Living Services (PSL) is designed to address the many issues faced by young adults (ages 15-24) with disabilities. Areas that we focus on include: improving fundamental academic skills, developing leadership potential, improving economic opportunities through continuing education, enhancing or upgrading work skills, integrating literary and social skills into occupational/vocational opportunities, fostering career opportunities through education and training, and promoting peer support for parents and siblings of this young population. |
