Trager breaks through the negative effects of mental and/or physical stress and the tension it builds up. Through jiggling, wiggling, rocking and rolling, a Trager practitioner can directly remind the body/mind how it once felt freedom, flexibility, and health and thereby find its way back to being whole again. Her attitude to body work is holistic, with a strong focus on the body's self healing abilities and the balance of mind, body and spirit. Deborah has always incorporated education and self-care in her therapeutic sessions. She draws on a wide field of study in her work including meditation; nutrition; yoga; stretching; exercise; and theatre, singing and dance.

Deborah's clients include the physically active as well as those suffering acute and/or chronic injuries. She has a particular interest in serving the elderly, and those with chronic or terminal illnesses.

In May, 2008, Deborah will complete her Masters degree in Social Work at the University of Maine Orono with an interest in geriatrics. Her training has included a year internship with the Maine Hospice Council and crisis intervention counselling with Evergreen Behavioral Services in Farmington.

As well as having an independent practice, Deborah also works as part of the massage therapy team at Health Quest Chiropractic Clinic in Farmington.

Deborah is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association.

Sandra Webber, LMT, has been doing massage for 20 years and Reflexology for 25 years. She is the owner of "End of The Rainbow" located at 160 Maine Street, Farmington, ME where you can get a massage, reflexology, herbs and other supplements. She graduated from the Downeast School of Massage and has her BS degree in Home Economics from UMF.

For over twenty-five years, Dr. Roberts has provided this same world class health care to the people of Western Maine. He pioneered the use of the modern chiropractic methods, such as the Activator Methods Technique. He has taught seminars around the world on the chiropractic lifestyle.

Doctor Jason B. Steinhouser, has practiced at HEALTHQUEST for more than three years. He earned his doctorate in chiropractic from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic. He specializes in neuromusculaskeletal disorders with a strong emphasis on rehabilitation and nutritional analysis.

Katie is in private practice at the Brick Castle in Kingfield and at Source 365 Living Arts Center, in Farmington. Massage is by appointment only, it is best to reserve at least a week in advance.

There are many complementary modalities of therapy, the many modalities of therapy include the use of diet nutritional supplements, including vitamins, minerals and other nutritional cofactors, and botanicals (herbal medicines). Structural modalities of therapy include chiropractice, osteopathy, and many forms of traditional physical therapy. There are also "energetic modalities" of therapy including acupuncture, homeopathy, isopathy. Beverly Richards has lived in East Jay for thirty years with her husband, Freddie. They designed and built their own home, and raised three children while being actively involved in their community. She has worked as a Registered Nurse since 1974 and received her BS in Community Health Education and Teaching in 1992.

Realizing the importance of massage therapy in self-care, she became a Licensed Massage Therapist, and opened SELAH: Therapeutic Massage Clinic in October of 2006. She belongs to the American Massage Therapy Association and is an active member of the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce, the JLLF Chamber of Commerce and the Jay- Livermore Falls Rotary Club.

Each initial visit at SELAH Therapeutic Massage Clinic starts with a health history and a postural/gait evaluation to develop a plan to help the client achieve the best benefit from their massage treatments. Beverly uses unscented massage oils and creams with organic ingredients such as almond oil in a grape seed oil base. Terry Owens, a Maine licensed massage therapist and member of the American Massage Therapy Association, has been a practicing massage therapist for over 21 years. She is a graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington and the Jacksonville School of Massage in Jacksonville Florida. Terry received trainings through the Upledger Institute in Palm Beach Florida where she focused on cranio-sacral therapy and somato emotional release. She also trained in zero balancing at the Zero Balancing Association. Terry has been educated in aroma therapy, hypnotherapy and Safe Touch for Survivors of Sexual Abuse. She has been a Reiki Master for nearly 15 years.

Terry taught massage classes at both the University of Maine in Farmington and for Adult Ed programs at various local high schools. She also teaches at her home practice, Spirit Garden Therapeutics. She lectures at local functions and has been a presenter at the Maine Wellness Conference.

Terry worked as a massage therapist at the Jacksonville School of Massage and Health Clinic and at the Sugar Tree Health Club at Sugarloaf Mountain Ski Resort. Her past work experience includes prenatal and infant care, elder support, hospice comfort, elementary teaching and the education of developmentally disabled adults.

Terry maintains a private practice in Farmington where she utilizes her vast experience and education by tailoring private sessions which are personally suited for each client's individual needs. This in turn promotes well being on all levels.
