Address:  111 Franklin Health Commons
Franklin Memorial Hospital
Farmington, ME 04938
Phone:  (207) 779-2405

Services:  Franklin Memorial Hospital’s Breast Care Center provides area women with timely access to state-of-the-art screening, diagnostic, clinical, and care-support services, provided by a multi-disciplinary team of experts. The Center’s concept, led by local surgeon, Dr. Eric Gunther, enables patients to receive the gold standard for breast care in a short period of time. Screening, diagnosis, and treatment will take days instead of weeks, virtually eliminating wait times for patients and families. Key to the Center’s mission is the Care Support Nurse who will navigate and advocate for women what had previously been a fragmented system. This nurse will promote early detection through screening, regular breast self-examination, and mammography, as well as improve outcomes for women with breast cancer.
