Services:  Rangeley Friends for the Arts Summer Concert Series provides music opportunities in a wide range of styles each year, from bluegrass to classical, from flutes to fiddles. Annual events like the Sidewalk Art Show, the Fiddler’s Contest, the Local Artists Gallery and the Home Tour add variety to the lineup. Rangeley Friends of the Arts School Program varies year to year from three to eight events at the Rangeley Lakes Regional School. They range from simple concerts/workshops with a featured artist or music group, to supporting trips to out-of-town cultural events for our students, to donating funds for in-house extras like Advanced Placement Art portfolios. Rangeley Friends of the Arts Scholarship program has been giving students monies for lessons in the arts for over 20 years. In recent years we have committed to funding half of the total cost of every program for which families request assistance be it dance lessons, ongoing music lessons or short term workshops or camps. We also fund a $500 scholarship to a graduating senior continuing in the arts.

The mission of the Franklin Resource Network is to maximize resources in our community, enabling elders, people with disabilities, caregivers, and all residents to easily find information about, and gain access to, services and opportunities to contribute their gifts and talents.

This project is funded, in part, by an Aging and Disability Resource Center grant from the federal Administration on Aging and Center for Medicare and Medicaid services.
